Extension of the St. Jadwiga Regional Specialist Hospital in Opole
Conceptual design for the extension of the specialist neurological and psychiatric hospital complex with a new building connected to the main hospital building and extending its functions. The building is designed in a simple, cuboidal form referring to the main building, as the two buildings will form a visually coherent character of the hospital, visible from afar. At the south end of the hospital is the main entrance to the building giving simple and easy access for patients. Each storey is linked via a link to the corresponding storey of the main building. On six above-ground floors and one underground floor, the building contains two intensive care units, an adult psychiatry ward, a post-stroke rehabilitation ward, a neurosurgery ward, a neurosurgery and mental health outpatient clinic, as well as an application and coordination desk, storage, technical and utility rooms.
